KENNER DEPARTMENTS TO CLOSE AT 3 P.M. TUESDAY
City Joins in Super Bowl Celebration

The City of Kenner will join the rest of the metropolitan area in celebrating the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Victory. Mayor Muniz has declared that all City Employees may join the celebration by closing City Hall and related City facilities early Tuesday, February 9, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

KENNER COUNCIL APRIL DATES MOVED BACK A WEEK
First Meeting of Month Conflicted With Holy Week

The April meeting dates for the Kenner City Council were moved back a week at the January 21 City Council meeting because of potential conflicts with Easter vacation. As a result, the April 1 meeting date was shifted to April 8 and the April 15 meeting was shifted to April 22.

The kings and queens of two major Carnival organizations will be in Kenner's Rivertown to toast each other and greet the people of Kenner as part of the annual day-long Lundi Gras celebration on the eve of Mardi Gras, 2010.
