Mike Quigley After graduating from the University of New Orleans in August of 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Safety & Physical Education, Mike Quigley began his career in parish government. From his start with the Jefferson Parish Department of Parks & Recreation, Mr. Quigley was promoted time after time through a succession of responsible supervisory positions. He began as an Assistant Recreation Supervisor, was later promoted to Assistant Director, and, by March of 1995, became Director of the Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation Department. Mr. Quigley then joined the Administration of the Parish President's office in July 2002 where he served as Executive Assistant to Tim Coulon and then Aaron Broussard. In this position, he served as Executive Director of the Workforce Investment Board, as the Capital Outlay liaison with the Louisiana Facility Planning and Control, while coordinating Special Events, Building Projects and Requests for Proposals until December of 2005. After serving the Parish for 34 years, Mr. Quigley retired, then officially came out of retirement in 2006 with the election of Edmond J. Muniz as the Mayor of Kenner who was looking for quality people to head the City of Kenner's Administration. He joined Mayor Muniz's team as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and manages the departments of Community Development, Community Services, Purchasing and, last, but not least, Recreation, where he first began his career. Reddy, P.E. is a graduate of Osmania University, India with Master degree's in Public Administration and Engineering (Civil), and Bachelor of Science with Majors in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. He is a Louisiana Registered and Licensed Professional Engineer. He began his career in government while working in the early 1970's with the City of Plainfield, New Jersey; DeKalb County in the State of Georgia and Sewer Senior Engineer in Jefferson Parish. From his start with the Jefferson Parish Department of Sewer and Drainage in 1979, Mr. Reddy was promoted to Director where he set the ten year storm event criteria for the Drainage and Flood Control System. His initiated Drainage Master Plan was implemented through a 75-80% completion, rebuilding a network of 340 miles of canal system and over 30 pump stations and flood control structures, which presently serve Jefferson Parish 450+ thousands population, before retiring with 25 years of an appointed position serving 6 administrations, Douglas Allen, Joseph Yenni, Willie Hof, Michael Yenni, Tim Coulon and Aaron Broussard as President's of Jefferson Parish. His list of accolades exceeds his reputation in his field. Prat P. Reddy, P.E. in July 2006 accepted the position of Public Works Director offered by Mayor Edmond "Ed" Muniz after 26 years of experience with Jefferson Parish and the City of Gretna. Prat is a conscientious, proactive, progressive and innovative Director who was resourceful, exercised physical responsibility, with good organizational skills, serving the public and regaining the trust of our "number one client" the citizens of Jefferson Parish. Mr. Reddy came to the City of Kenner applied what he has mastered and the motto by which he lives. A contributing factor of Mr. Reddy's success was he worked to master "the art of spending" and lives by the motto "don't spend what you don't have", which he learned from the late Joseph Yenni, which has brought him to his present position as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and manages the departments of Public Works, Fleet Management, Sanitation, Sewerage and Engineering and Capital Programs. Prior to joining the Kenner Administration, he was public information officer, a research analyst and grant monitor for the Jefferson Parish Community Justice Agency, and, before that, an administrator with the Jefferson Parish Council for 17 years. He retired from parish government in 2006. Lafourcade has had a lengthy, award-winning career in newspapers (the Times-Picayune in New Orleans and the Houma Courier) and editing industrial publications (Transit Express and Riders’ Digest for the RTA). He was a writer, producer and on-air announcer for local radio stations (WYAT, WTKL and WLTS), script and promotion writer for major Carnival organizations and the Louisiana Railroad Museum. He is a graduate of Loyola University of the South, with a degree in journalism/public relations, and a graduate of Jesuit High School.
