Born in 1963 to Leroy and Brenda Tamberella Stagni. Joe Stagni grew up in Kenner playing ball on the playgrounds and inside the gyms of Kenner. He is married to Denise Contavasprie Stagni and they are raising Joseph, Jr. and Andrew. Joe Stagni attended John Curtis Christian School, Nicholls State University, and Texas Chiropractic College. He has a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees, as well as being a Fellow of the Institute of Politics. Dr. Stagni is a chiropractic physician practicing in Kenner since 1988.
Joe Stagni has served on the Jefferson Parish Board of Election Supervisors, Kenner Planning Commission, Kenner Board of Zoning Adjustments, and the Board of Chiropractic Examiners under the Department of Health & Hospitals. Joe Stagni co-chaired the Merit Civil Service System petition drive. Dr. Stagni was the first Kenner resident awarded the Monte M. Lemann Award.
In 2004, he co-chaired the Mayor's transition team with former parish president Tim Coulon and former parish councilman Ed Muniz. Joe Stagni is a member of the Kenner Lions Club, Jefferson Chamber, and a charter member of the Roosevelt Subdivisions Civic Association.
