To Provide an Audit Services Contract for the Office of the City Council
 
The City Council is seeking qualified vendors to provide audit services for the office of the City Council. Interested individuals or firms can obtain a copy of the Request for Proposal packets by emailing the City of Kenner Finance Department at fincontracts@kenner.la.us or visiting www.kenner.la.us and www.centralbidding.com. Completed packets are to be returned to the Finance Department at 1610 Reverend Richard Drive Kenner, LA 70062 by hand, or by mail via USPS, Fed Ex, UPS or emailed to fincontracts@kenner.la.us no later than 3:00 P.M. CST, Wednesday July 13, 2022. The City of Kenner reserves the right to reject any and all submissions. The City of Kenner Council serves as the City's legislative body, with the power to enact all ordinances and resolutions. The City Council is also responsible for providing its residents with the latest and most accurate information regarding all City of Kenner business and events. The Kenner City Council is governed by the Home Rule Charter of the City of Kenner.

This legislative branch of city government is represented by two at-large councilmembers and five district councilmembers. The Council is elected in accordance with the election laws of the State of Louisiana and serve a four-year term concurrent with that of the Mayor. Members are limited to two consecutive full terms in the office to which they were elected, exclusive of any partial term created by vacancy.

COUNCIL MEETINGS

The Council of the City of Kenner meets in the old Macys' Building, 1401 West Esplanade Avenue on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. and the third Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m. Should a Council Meeting fall on a legal holiday, the meeting will be re-scheduled by the Council President in accordance with the Home Rule Charter, Council Rules and the consent of the majority of the Kenner City Council. The agenda for the Council Meeting is prepared by the Clerk of the Council at 12:00 noon two days prior to each Council Meeting.
