Curbside Trash Collection Guidelines
Kenner's curbside garbage collection guidelines cover the disposal of bulky waste, yard debris, and light construction materials. Place bulky items, like furniture and appliances, curbside on the second pickup day. Yard debris and light construction waste must be bagged or stacked, limited to 10 cubic yards.
Household Hazardous Waste
Hazardous waste, including paint and motor oils, should not be placed curbside. For hazardous waste disposal details, see pages 5-6 of the Jefferson Parish Trash and Recycling Guide.
Note: Kenner does not accept glass or household hazardous waste; Jefferson Parish accepts both at its drop-off site, and Ramelli collects glass through Jefferson Parish curbside recycling.
Bulk Waste Placement
Place bulk waste curbside on your second scheduled garbage collection day. Set items out by your regular start time, stacked neatly, with at least 3 feet of clearance from carts, vehicles, mailboxes, and utility poles. Do not block sidewalks, driveways, or storm drains, and bundle or contain smaller debris when possible. Bulk set-outs are for residential use only; hazardous waste and tires are not accepted.
