Citizens Services Department
The Department of Citizens Services mission is to eliminate hunger while promoting the value of nutrition and other essential services to those in need through a comprehensive and holistic approach. This department is pleased to serve the community in accordance with guidelines set forth by the United States Agriculture Department (USDA).

Civil Service Department
The Civil Service Department is composed of the Director, his staff, and the Civil Service Board, which is an independent, five member, unpaid, citizens board that performs quasi-judicial and administrative functions related to the Kenner merit system of employment.

The Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting criminal, traffic, and juvenile offenses.

Clerk of Court's Office
The Clerk of Court has the responsibility of recording all documents filed with the Mayor’s Court, keeping a record of all court proceedings and collecting various fines, forfeitures, and court costs ordered by the court and specified by the City Code of Ordinances.

The Hispanic Resource Center of the City of Kenner announced its Grand Opening on June 26th, 2003.

Inspection & Code Enforcement Department
The City of Kenner, Department of Inspection and Code Enforcement, is responsible for the enforcement of the City of Kenner Code of Ordinances, the review and issuance of building permits and subsequent inspections of all structures within the City, the licensing of tradesmen and issuing occupational licenses.

Wastewater Department
The goal of the Wastewater Department is to operate and maintain the City's wastewater treatment plant and to administer the City's federal and state-mandated Industrial Pretreatment Program, in order to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and to protect the public health.
