Singer-songwriter, guitarist and percussionist, Aurelio Martinez (46), is one of Central America’s most gifted performers. Born in Honduras, the artist is known for his powerful and evocative voice. He is a major tradition-bearer of the Garifuna culture and music and he is considered nowadays as the Cultural Ambassador of the Garifuna nation.
Trained as a classical guitarist, Cuban artist Javier Olondo founded his award-winning Latin band, Javier Olondo & AsheSon, in 2006. The band specializes in Cuban traditional music while also incorporating popular genres such as salsa, merengue, and bachata into their repertoire. They have graced numerous festivals across Louisiana, with a perennial presence at the prestigious New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. AsheSon embodies the concept of positive Cuban karma, promising a vibrant and uplifting experience at every performance.
