Trained as a classical guitarist, Cuban artist Javier Olondo founded his award-winning Latin band, Javier Olondo & AsheSon, in 2006. The band specializes in Cuban traditional music while also incorporating popular genres such as salsa, merengue, and bachata into their repertoire. They have graced numerous festivals across Louisiana, with a perennial presence at the prestigious New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
