A native New Orleanian, Bruno began his training in his father’s workshop on Calhoun St. at ten years old. He received a Master’s in English Literature from UNO in 1985, and soon found a home at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. The sculpture is casted bronze with a reinforced stainless steel interior. It is a 12 foot high sculpture weighing 1100 pounds, and depicts a standing male and seated female against a tree.
